RACING AND EVENTS SCHEDULE 2012

We are pleased to announce that there will be plenty of special events at Tir Prince during 2012. The schedule has not been finalised but here is a flavour.

MARKET AND CAR BOOT

Saturdays start on 25th February

Sundays start 1st April

Open all over the Easter holidays

TROTTING AND HARNESS RACING

5 or 6 race meetingss hopefully 1st meeting Tuesday 5th June with a crock of Gold Final meeting on Tuesday 4th or 11th September, details to follow

STUNT SHOWS

Confirmed 1st date the evening of Saturday 28th April (details to follow).

Probably one or two more in August.

SPEEDWAY STYLE RACING

There will be another meeting(s) trying to arrange a 2 day meeting possibly for the August Bank Holiday Weekend (details to follow).

FAIR AND GO KARTS

Opening no later than Saturday 31st March, there will be new rides and attractions during the year, see website for details.

FLATRACK RACING (SPEEDWAY STYLE) SATURDAY 6TH AUGUST

Tickets are now on sale at the bar/cafe at Tir Prince on Wednesday, Friday Saturday and Sunday at Deli-t-Full Sandwich shop 10 Bodfor Street Rhyl (opposite Argos) from 9am till 4pm Monday to Saturday and on Ticketmaster/Ticketwed 24/7. Price £12.50 for adults and £7.50 for under 16’s with an adult. Car parking is free. Gates open at 6pm, racing starts at 7pm, we are expecting a huge crowd so pre book your ticket to ensure entry. STARS OF SPEEDWAY AND TT COMING TO TIR PRINCE

Italian star Jacapo Monti in action

The best harness race track in the UK will replace horses for some of the fastest motor bikes around on Saturday 6^th August at 7pm (gates open 6pm) when it will host the Tir Prince International All Stars Flat track Championship.

This is the first time that this exciting form of motor racing (similar to speedway with different motorbikes) has come to the North West and there will be eleven 2 mile races (four laps of the track) promoter Peter “The Boastie” Boast said “I am delighted to co-promote this official event with Adam Williams and David Senior. The track is the best we have ever raced on and I hope the British 2 mile record will be smashed, I am hoping that as we have been able to entice 32 of the fastest riders in Europe to the event average speeds will be over 100 mph. The event will star former speedway star Les Collins, former Isle of Man TT and television star Guy Martin as well as the best flat track racers around including the leader in the British rankings Aiden Collins and Italian Star Jacapo Monti.”

Adam Williams commented “I am really looking forward to the speed and excitement that will be generated by these International Stars”. David Senior added that he hoped people would pre-book tickets to avoid disappointment as a full house is expected.

The American Circus opens at Tir Prince on Tuesday 24th August for 2 weeks. See box office and posters for details.

Tir Prince buys holiday park in Towyn

Tir Prince Leisure Group announced that it has recently purchased a holiday park in Towyn, the park has a real country park feel yet it it is only a short walk from Tir Prince and the beach. Currently occupied by privately owned static caravans Tir Prince are reviewing their options for the future. More soon.

FAIRGROUND NOW OPEN EVERY DAY

New water balloon

The fairground and Go Karts are now open every day from 11 till 10pm (weather permitting). We have some new fun rides and attractions including the very popular water ballons shown above. Wristbands from £7, childrens rides from £1.

North Wales’s largest market and Car Boot is open Saturday and Sunday, pedestrian entrance is still free. Come and grab yourself a bargain!

The fairground and go-karts will aslo be open from Friday afternoon and all day Saturday and Sunday with a wide selection of rides and games for all ages.

There will be no racing this week but it will be on next Monday, 26th July the gates open at 5pm, racing from 6.45 pm admission £5 under 16’s free. The bar, restaurant and bookies will all be open. Come and have a great family night out.

Why not visit one of our arcades and play for fabulous prizes on our grabbers, penny falls machines or win and save “Big Red Tickets” on our ticket redemption machines. Prizes include a full range of Me to You merchandise including bicycles, teddies and gifts, a range of Meerkat prizes including a brand new line a 60″ Meerkat (must be seen) and a huge range of Disney prizes including jumbo sized Winnie the Pooh and the brand new Minnie Princess line. The arcades are Electric Avenue at Towyn Crossroads, Downtown opposite the entrance to Tir Prince and MR B’s opposite the car park on Rhyl seafront.
