COME TEN PIN BOWLING IN NORTH WALES
April 16th, 2011We are pleased to announce that we now have ten pin bowling for all the family at our arcades MR B’s in Rhyl (opposite the Sky Tower) and at Downtown Arcade (opposite the entrance to Tir Prince) they are open every day over the Easter period, prices from £1 per person per game, you can’t go wrong!

MARKET OPEN
North Wales’s largest outdoor market and car boot is open on Saturday, Sunday, Whit Monday and Wednesday 1st June and Friday 3rd June as well as EVERY Saturday and Sunday. Car boot from only £5. There are food stalls, flowers and plants, a modern beauty parlour caricature artists and 100’s of speciality stalls, come and pick up a bargain.
Pedestrian entrance free, car parking free on Wednesday.
FAIRGROUND AND GO KARTS
Fairground and Go Karts open every day from Friday 27th until Sunday 5th June. Come and try the new “Mad Mouse” spinning rollercoaster and a wide range of rides for all the family and the best go kart track on the coast.
MONSTER TRUCKS AND STUNT BIKES
This exhilarating show made its first appearance at Tir Prince with two shows on Saturday 28th and again on Sunday 29th it was so successful it hopes to return in August.
HARNESS RACING RETURNS ON TUESDAY 31 ST MAY
There was a very competitive 6 race card on Tuesday watched by a crowd which basked in the evening sunshine. The next meeting will be on Wednesday 27th July when the TV cameras return with a heat of the world famous Crock of Gold series. There will be bookies, a tote, restaurant and bar. Still only £5 entry with under 16’s with an adult free, car parking free.
ARCADES AND BOWLING
Our arcades Mr B’s on Rhyl seafront and Downtown (opposite the funfair at Tir Prince) now both have bowling, at only £1 per person its great value! The “Big Red Tickets” can be won at all our aracades including Electric Avenue in Towyn and swapped for prizes. We have all the latest £500 jackpopt machines and a great range of prizes in the grabbers and the penny fall machines including the very new “Angry Birds”, open every day from 10am until late.
EAT AND DRINK
Come and visit us and have a drink or meal in our newly refurbished licensed Cafe Bar or at the many food stalls at the market or at the food kiosks on the fair or at the arcades.

NWSA ANNOUNCES STAKE RACES FOR 2011
January 20th, 2011NWSA have announced plans for 3 and 4 year old stake races to be run at Tir Prince in 2011.
3 Year Old Championship over 1 Mile
Plans for a 3 year old stakes race to be held on Wednesday 27th July have been announced. It is hoped that there will be sufficient entries to run separate finals for colts and fillies otherwise if there is a single race fillies will be preferred. The race is scheduled for live TV coverage, entry fee will be £100 payable by 30th April with a further payment of £50 payable on the race night, so there wont be any worrying about missing sustaining payment dates. It is hoped that there will be a £2000 prize fund.
4 Year Old Derby over 1 1/2 Mile
Plans for a brand new Derby Championship for 4 year olds to be held on Wednesday 17th August have been announced. It is hoped that there will be sufficient entries to run separate finals for colts and fillies otherwise if there is a single race fillies will be preferred. The race is scheduled for live TV coverage, entry fee will be £100 payable by 30th April with a further payment of £50 payable on the race night, so there wont be any worrying about missing sustaining payment dates. It is hoped that there will be a £2000 prize fund. Dont forget this year there is a 50% reduction in monies won for handicap purposes for advertised 4 year old racing.

TIR PRINCE CONFIRMS 6 DATES FOR 2011
December 11th, 2010Due to the fantastic support shown by the NWSA especially through Eric Witherspoon and Jim McInally Tir Prince have put in for 6 confirmed races and 1 provisional date for 2011. Due to requests from Amman Valley and Tir Prince S4C have moved the Rasus series to a Wednesday. Therefore all our races except the Whitsun meeting will be run on Wednesdays. There will be fewer televised meetings this year and due to the rugby World Cup in September the Crock of Gold meeting moves to 31st August. The proposed dates need confirmation from the BHRC but are proposed as:
Tuesday 31st May
Wednesday 27th July Crock of Gold heat
Wednesday 3rd August
Wednesday 10th August
Wednesday 17th August Crock of Gold heat
Wednesday 31st August Crock of Gold Final
The provisional date is Wednesday 24th August.
NWSA have committed to raise sponsorship to cover the prize money for all races (except Crock of Gold and Billy Williams) at the moment they have pledges for at least three meetings but need help and support to cover the other three (or four) meetings. Friends of Tir Prince Meeting 9th February
November 3rd, 2010There will be a meeting of NWSA and Friends of Tir Prince at Rhyl Sports and Social Club, 78 Wellington Road, Rhyl, LL18 1LH at 7.30 pm on Wednesday 3rd February.
